Now that the XT8 is supported via a gnuton0 build are there plans to roll it into the mainline merlin codebase?

It doesn't work like that.

@GNUton is working on router models that RMerlin doesn't have time for.

His fork is based on the RMerlin build indicated, but the work specific to that model is almost all @GNUton's.

ok... but thats why version control systems exist... export the gnuton0 changes to the 386.5 baseline and import into the mainline merlin code. The best form of collaboration.
 
The collaboration is different here. Many more moving parts to think about.

No, because that would mean I would become responsible for supporting it. The arrangement here is that Gnuton takes care of supporting models that I won't support.
