Yeah, yeah, I got curious and upgraded to Win 8, so this is my own fault. Of course, now my Samba USB drive in my RT-N66U is sometimes seen by the Win 8 PC and sometimes it isn't. This is a known bug with Win 8, which I only realized after searching with Google.

There is registry hack to fix the general issue with Samba and Win 8, but I was just wondering if anyone had seen a different approach other than messing with the registry and changing the computer's domain. My IP cams are all sad, because they have no network drive to write to.
 
Microsoft must have fixed it with an update, because now the SMB drive is seen consistently across my LAN. There's nothing in the MS KB about which patch fixed it, but I'm not complaining.
