I have a wireless alarm system with the devices spread thru out the two-story house
The Devices communicate to the base unit
The base unit connects to a hardwired LAN in the house
The entire house is wired for Cat5
The hardwired network is 192.168.1.x
The hard-wire connects to a fiber to hardwired router supplied by AT&T
The router connects to an AT&T FIber Network
The Lan side is the 192.168.1.x side
So the question is this
I want to add wireless access points that use the same IP subnet
because I want to update the alarm system, which uses a wireless base unit
I dont want to change the IP subnet of 192.168.1.x
So what do I purchase that will allow wireless devices onto my 192.168.1.x LAN
