After installing my new RT-N66U yesterday i spent an hour or so configuring it. Then after about 14 hours both the 2.4 Ghz and the 5 Ghz stopped working. Nothing in my network changed. All of the wired connections worked fine, there were no implications of anything going wrong in the router setup interface.
In desperation i tried three different firmwares from ASUS with factory resets and all that. After getting no where i contacted my retailer and got it RMA'd.

After getting the replacement i tried to reconfigure the router but with no luck. I have even tried the Merlin builds but with no luck, it's just between 5min and 10 hrs of working wi-fi before it cuts out again.

I have fiddled around with most of the settings, and done some extensive googling but with no luck.

Are you sure the problem isn't with the wireless interface of your computer? If you haven't done so yet, I recommend testing with another wifi device to rule out any issue with it.

I have tested with 14 different units, ranging from iPad's to custom wif-fi cards and different laptops. So i'm pretty sure thats not the issue.

Did you see anything in the routers log what happened with the wifi ?
Any problems when you initially set up the routers ?
Have you tried to clear the nvram and setup the settings again ?

The log shows nothing, only startup logging. Nothing out of the ordinary when i setup the router, i just entered the necessary information into the setup page and it worked, then after 14 hours it just stopped working, no devices could connect; it's worth nothing though that it was only the wireless that stopped working the wired connection continued to work fine. I tried clearing the settings at least, if thats what you are reffering to, i used both the built-in restore to default feature and the reset button on the device.
