Wireless issues

Although my laptop has no problem connecting to the router in some of my rooms where the signal is strong - in other rooms, my laptop suddenly is unable to connect to the router, even though the signal strength appears strong.

Yet, I have two Dell 1545 laptops that are unable to connect wireless no matter where or how strong the RT-n66U's signal is. What gives? Any suggestions?

What is the make/model of the wireless adapters in the Dells? Have you updated firmware?

What mode is the router set to and what band are you having the problem with?

I updated the driver for the wireless adapter, slightly boosted the output of the Asus... problem solved.
