I was looking thru the system logs when i came across this:-

Nov 2 08:14:02 notify_rc : restart_wireless
Nov 2 08:14:04 kernel: Ebtables v2.0 registered
Nov 2 08:14:04 kernel: device eth1 left promiscuous mode
Nov 2 08:14:04 kernel: br0: port 2(eth1) entering disabled state
Nov 2 08:14:04 kernel: device eth2 left promiscuous mode
Nov 2 08:14:04 kernel: br0: port 3(eth2) entering disabled state
Nov 2 08:14:05 kernel: wl_module_init: passivemode set to 0x0
Nov 2 08:14:05 kernel: eth1: Broadcom BCM4331 802.11 Wireless Controller 5.100.138.20
Nov 2 08:14:05 kernel: eth2: Broadcom BCM4331 802.11 Wireless Controller 5.100.138.20
Nov 2 08:14:05 kernel: device eth1 entered promiscuous mode
Nov 2 08:14:05 kernel: br0: port 2(eth1) entering listening state
Nov 2 08:14:05 kernel: br0: port 2(eth1) entering learning state
Nov 2 08:14:05 kernel: br0: topology change detected, propagating
Nov 2 08:14:05 kernel: br0: port 2(eth1) entering forwarding state
Nov 2 08:14:05 kernel: device eth2 entered promiscuous mode
Nov 2 08:14:05 kernel: br0: port 3(eth2) entering listening state
Nov 2 08:14:05 kernel: br0: port 3(eth2) entering learning state
Nov 2 08:14:05 kernel: br0: topology change detected, propagating
Nov 2 08:14:05 kernel: br0: port 3(eth2) entering forwarding state

Then it happened again:-

Nov 2 08:14:30 notify_rc : restart_wireless
Nov 2 08:14:31 kernel: device eth1 left promiscuous mode
Nov 2 08:14:31 kernel: br0: port 2(eth1) entering disabled state
Nov 2 08:14:31 kernel: device eth2 left promiscuous mode
Nov 2 08:14:31 kernel: br0: port 3(eth2) entering disabled state
Nov 2 08:14:32 kernel: wl_module_init: passivemode set to 0x0
Nov 2 08:14:32 kernel: eth1: Broadcom BCM4331 802.11 Wireless Controller 5.100.138.20
Nov 2 08:14:32 kernel: eth2: Broadcom BCM4331 802.11 Wireless Controller 5.100.138.20
Nov 2 08:14:33 kernel: COEX: downgraded chanspec 0x2e0b to 0x2b0d: channel 6 used by exiting BSSs
Nov 2 08:14:33 kernel: device eth1 entered promiscuous mode

Nov 2 08:14:33 kernel: br0: topology change detected, propagating
Nov 2 08:14:33 kernel: br0: port 2(eth1) entering forwarding state
Nov 2 08:14:34 kernel: device eth2 entered promiscuous mode
Nov 2 08:14:34 kernel: br0: port 3(eth2) entering listening state
Nov 2 08:14:34 kernel: br0: port 3(eth2) entering learning state
Nov 2 08:14:34 kernel: br0: topology change detected, propagating
Nov 2 08:14:34 kernel: br0: port 3(eth2) entering forwarding state

I was wondering why this would happen as nobody at home was using the internet at this time. Im the only one who has access to the router gui and i was fast asleep.

Possibly because you left the channel on "Auto", and your router detected interference from another wireless network on the channel it was on:

"COEX: downgraded chanspec 0x2e0b to 0x2b0d: channel 6 used by exiting BSSs "

I've got the 2.4Ghz radio set to channel 13 and the 5Ghz radio set to auto. The only options for 5Ghz is 36,40,44 and 48
