New Around Here
I currently run two small businesses that will be moving into the same building. I would like to separate them so that they are running on two networks and in no way will be able to access each others files, etc.

Company A uses 4 computers (1 wired), 2 printers (1 is wired), and several smart phones.

Company B uses 1 wireless computer, 1 wireless printer, 1 smart phone

Since Company B uses all wireless devices could I purchase an Asus AC66u and just put them on a guest network with a password? Would that work and separate them off my main network which Company A would be using? Just starting my search and wanted some feedback.

Thanks.

i can't make any specific recommendations, but these are my thoughts.

that business is entirely wireless based. not only is everybody sharing the wireless channel, but also the internet connection. so, you really should have a router + switch that gives guaranteed bandwidth to a vlan which you'd then attach an AP to. Both businesses can then have private networks and wifi on different channels.

[edit] my suggestion, the business buys their AP ;)

Actually, you could do this with the Asus, then have the business attach their own AP. There's people here that would know how.[/edit]
