I see from the charts that the WNDR3700 beats the wnr3500L in throughput. I'm considering both...I'd like the dual band functionality for future proofing, but I won't use it right away. Trying to decide if the 3700's higher throughput is worth the premium vs the 3500L.
Could someone comment on what it would mean in terms of real world use on the 2.4GHz frequency between these 2 routers due to throughput differences? Right now we have an iphone 3G, and two XP PC's on the network. Planning on adding an Apple TV soon for streaming. Other than that, not planning on any super human computing at home.
Also, what is the average time a router can be expected to last?
