WOL over OpenVPN

Noob alert(!) Has anyone got a good method to get WOL to work over OpenVPN without logging into the router web page (or going to the command line)? Objective is to use the Synology app to wake my DiskStation - which works works perfectly fine LAN side - and survive a router re-boot. The DiskStation has a fixed LAN IP. I am ok when it comes to scripting if this is required having managed to get a custom DDNS updater working.

Use TAP instead or TUN, the you will be in the same subnet as your NAS and can wake it via Synology app.
