Working versions of strongswan (entware)

I am trying to get a strongswan (v5.0.4) vpn up and running with Tomato firmware and entware installed. My attempts have failed, and I have run out of ideas. I'd like to try running a version that is confirmed to be working. Please list the version that you are running.

Does it crash when you run it ? or it runs and does not connect?
