I read that they've discovered a security issue with the WPA security feature common in many older routers and wireless access points:

I have an older D-Link DWL-7100AP wireless access point that works perfectly with the laptops in my house, all of which have Wireless-G adapters built in. Should this security issue lead me to replace my access point? There don't seem to be a lot of options for Wireless-G access points out there and it would be hard to replace. Thanks for any advice you can give!

The new technique is a toehold, not a full-blown attack. If your equipment suffices, I'd hold out for either final .11n hardware or further developments in cracking.

The paper detailing the attack is located on the aircrack site, under the Nov 8th news entry.

Thanks to you both!

Thanks for the information. I appreciate your help!
