I've been happy with my WRT54GL, but now need much more range. Like to try this crazy expensive Asus router and jump into n/dual-band.

Can someone advize (or throw me some links) on how I can use Tomato (or DD-WRT) to set up my WRT54GL as a repeater/access point in connection with this Asus?

Thanks!!!

Here is a link to set up a router running DD-WRT as a repeater.

http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Universal_Wireless_Repeater

There are instructions on the SNB site on how to repurpose a router to an AP.

Thanks, can't wait to set this up, but with what I've read about the range of the Asus, maybe I won't need a repeater...

If you need more range get an N repeater. A G repeater will bog down your entire network. Or get 2 WRT54GL's and use one connected to your RT-N66U and use the other WRT54GL as a repeater off the first GL. This is my set up and it works great.
