ZFS?

Has anyone taken a look at what would be needed to put ZFS on Merlin ASUS? ZFS runs fine under various versions of Linux.
It would make a great NAS out of my RT-ac3100.

Already been asked. Not going to happen. The router would make a very poor NAS anyway because of it's limited RAM.

You are right ... just wondering. ZFS is a memory hog - I guess I'll keep it on my FreeBSD server. Thanks.

Likely would not... it's the memory concerns...

pfSense does do zfs with recent builds, but mostly for file system consistency...

I'll just drop this here. Something I got working just because I like the challenge, and not for practicality. Should probably work with Merlin builds as well, but haven't tried.
