    My interpretation of the post is if you switch from factory firmware to his alpha builds, you must do a factory reset. Same for going from Merlin back to ASUS firmware.

    Current Stability of RT-AC3200

    Been running the AC3200 for the past few days (gave up on SmartConnect), and it's definitely much better than the AC87U in terms of stability. Only issues are some bugs with the current firmware (inc. the bug with the log flood). Even with that, it's been running for 3 days without reboot.

    Of course 100% satisfaction is unlikely. On a side note, I managed to obtain a X6 today just to test from a friend - first impressions are alright. Dislike the admin interface though. Had a bunch of amazon vouchers so purchased the AC3200 from there... They're generally alright about returns...

    [BETA] ASUS RT-AC87U 3.0.0.4_378_7944 Unofficial Beta Firmware

    Hi, After going through the setup from fresh install, changed the 2ghz and 5ghz networks to WiFi_2G and WiFi_5G respectively, but the networks did not change name and remained as ASUS and ASUS_5G until I manually rebooted. Thanks Colin
