just purchased rt-88u: should i have looked at others

I decided to get the 86u now and the 88u is getting sent back. I had the 88u running the latest Merlin fw and set to reboot twice a week but I woke up Saturday morning and the 5ghz band said disabled and the CPU was running all over the place for no reason. A reboot fixed it but if that is a...

the only problem i have with the 88u at this point as I'm moving a PC from the bridge (66u) to directly plugged into the 88u and when doing so the pc won't be found on the network. i have to reboot the 88u so it detects where the pc is being moved. the 88u shows a pc being on wifi(bridge) when...

just purchased rt-88u: should i have looked at others

I got it from Amazon so I have until 9/29 to return it if needed. I'll see if I run into any issues where I have to reboot it. For whatever reason my old 66u has a schedule reboot option and this doesn't in the merlin firmware. I was transferring from 2 PCs. PC1 connected to gig lan port on...

just purchased rt-88u: should i have looked at others

So without coming here first I just got a rt-88u to replace my now out of support rt-66u router. I wanted something that would cover my entire house (2000 sq/ft) and just looking between various models, i saw that the 88u had 4 antennas. Although I didn't think about it at the time, a tri...

AC-66U lost 2.4Ghz MAC filter page

Anyone ever see this. When I go to the mac filter settings I had a whole list configured for access. If I go to 5ghz the page opens as normal with all my mac addresses. When I go back to 2.4ghz, there is nothing, and I can't add any either. Also the top of the page with the menus and...

After upgrade to latest merlin, bridge no longer acts as an AP?

I just upgraded my AC66U router and bridge from 372.31 to 374.43. In the past firmware I was able to use the bridge also as an AP with a different SSID. So for example on my Router I had ssid 100(2.4ghz) and 110(ghz) Then on my bridge I had ssid 100B(2.4ghz) I was able to access that via...

Bought 2 routers, Merlin firmware & Bridge questions

So I decided to go and buy 2 of these routers one to use as a Router and connect the other as a Bridge. First of all let me say that I decided on Merlin firmware 3.0.0.4.372.30_2 for the router and Merlin firmware 3.0.0.4.270.26b for the Bridge. Doing a LanSpeedTest Lite is giving me about...
