Disadvantages of Access Points vs, AiMesh

I like its design. But it’s not really that necessary. My BE98 is working good in general. But in the bedroom at the back of the house the speedtest get about 15-20mbits speed. In the living room it’s about 860mbits. I don’t know if there is any setting yet I can work in the router’s admin page...

Disadvantages of Access Points vs, AiMesh

So for example if I have one 5G SSID called Home_Router 5G in the main router, the aimesh node will have the same SSID. Does it mean if I’m in the coverage of both routers, will I see 2 Home_Router 5G SSID in wifi hotspot list or only one?

Disadvantages of Access Points vs, AiMesh

Hello leerees, I know this is a very old response but I'd be happy to get an answer. You said that the advantages of Aimesh are that there is only one SSID (I assume this happens if you activate the Smart Connect on both routers?) and the other one is there is no interference. But in many...

Suggestion for GT BE98 AiMesh Setup

Hello, I want to hear your opinions. I have one GT BE98 router in the living room. I didn't bring it in my computer room because all my TV, Apple TV and consoles are in the living room. And also my desktop PC in my computer room has Wifi 7 so I thought it would be enough. And actually it is...

Asus GT BE98 Bridge Connection Problem

I found a solution. It’s probably all due to the modem I was using. It was a coincidence but while it wasn’t working at all in bridge connection, I decided to switch the modem back to PPPoE until my Fiber modem and connection will arrive(Which I applied to get from my ISP. Currently I'm using...

Asus GT BE98 Bridge Connection Problem

Yes I found it. Do you know why is IPTV configuration important for the internet connection? I'm not using IPTV nor I have a subscription.

Asus GT BE98 Bridge Connection Problem

I understand that. But please check the settings below. If I try to select PPPoE on my router, I don't see a place where I can enter the VLAN value.

Asus GT BE98 Bridge Connection Problem

The problem is my ISP requires VID tag with the value of 35. It looks like the modem doesn't activate it while in the bridge mode. And although the router has a special ISP requirements section, it still doesn't work even if I add 35 to VID in that section. So that's why I don't know which one...

Asus GT BE98 Bridge Connection Problem

Oh ok no, my ISP doesn't allow that. Thank you though. I didn't know there were ISPs which would let it happen.

Asus GT BE98 Bridge Connection Problem

I'm not sure. Can you clarify it? What mode should I leave the modem? PPPoE and from the Lan port 1 I'll connect the Router and another PPPoe? I think I tried this today but the router doesn't get the same Wan Public IP. That's what I need. I want to use my router as the main access provider...

Asus GT BE98 Bridge Connection Problem

Hello, I have been using Asus DSL AC88U modem with a VDSL subscription for a long time. Today, after many years, I decided to buy a router for the first time. I purchased the Asus GT BE98 model, which I really liked the features of, even though it's a bit expensive but I definitely wanted to...

    It's time to buy RT-BE96U?

For some, it's like buying a new car. Who doesn't want to buy something new with new features. At the end, all the cars will take you to your destination. I wouldn't look at this as a money and brain problem.

Isn't this Kernel or the SDK version something that could be updated via Firmware?
