    Thanks for all the help everyone. I'm definitely getting the rt-ac68u. I'm actually going to be price matching at Office Depot with Amazon's $169 price (when they get back in stock). Anyways, thanks again for all the help. Hopefully, I'll get the 1Ghz model.

    1.4? You think I should message Newegg & ask them if that is the processor speed on the ones they have? I originally thought they were 800 Mhz, but I guess different variations are shipping out. It's about $30 cheaper right now at Newegg so I'm going to get it there instead of Office Depot...

    I shouldn't have put that in. At the time I didn't understand about installing 3rd party firmware like DD-WRT or Tomato and using Open VPN. I'm going to update the OP momentarily. I'm now only deciding between the R7000 and AC68U.
