    [HowTO] WPA2 Enterprise EAP-TTLS,PAP

Is this possible on an Asus router? or are we talking of additional / different hardware?

    [HowTO] WPA2 Enterprise EAP-TTLS,PAP

Is it possible to run WPA2-Enterprise for normal router users and WPA2-Personal for guests at the same time?

State of the project (August 2016)

Thank you Merlin... you have been quite patient in supporting Asus routers and ensuring it's better than what the manufacturer did with it.. I will always come back to check for a Merlin builds no matter what..

    Asuswrt-Merlin 380.59 is now available

Hi Merlin, I used to see a lot of that error with the earlier builds. This error used to fill my syslog. With the .58 update the error came down drastically to a single line a few times a day. After the upgrade to.59, i haven't seen the error in the last 6 odd hours of up-time.

VPN Speed problems: Merlin vs Advanced Tomato

Hi, had done all those things perfectly. Everything was working fine until a few days ago. As I suspected. On contacting my VPN provider they mentioned that they did some migrations that wouldn't allow DNS to leak upstream. On my request they set my VPN to OpenDNS in their settings.

VPN Speed problems: Merlin vs Advanced Tomato

No i am not. seems my vpn provider has a tight grip on matters. they even override DNS Settings configured on the router to their own DNS server. Think i will change the vpn provider on expiry of the service. I don't mind PIA - they are cheap as well. but the only problem I am facing is a way...

    Hi, any thoughts on this?

    Asuswrt-Merlin 380.58 is now available

Sorry, don't bother. my VPN provider just started enforcing the rule upstream. overriding this setting on the router. Time to change my VPN provider. Luckily, they implemented this change 5 days to the expiry of the service.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 380.58 is now available

hey guys... i have configured - Accept DNS Configuration to "disabled" for months. And it was working well with opendns as my DNS provider. I have some parental controls set via opendns. All of a sudden i started seeing activity that OpenDNS wouldn't allow. On investigating I can see that I...

    Happy 4th anniversary to us!

Congratulations Eric!.. What you started was one of the best things that happened to Asus routers! Love the security first approach you have taken!

    Asuswrt-Merlin 380.58 is now available

What is the killswitch? Is is just the normal switch that turns green when the VPN is active? Then that is not the problem in this case. I even rebooted the router with client 1 disabled and client 3 activated. somehow the same settings on client 3 don't work.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 380.58 is now available

Eric, off the VPN clients 1, 3 and 5. I was doing some experiments on the router and tried setting the same configuration as client 1 on client 3. System logs: Mar 24 21:34:19 openvpn-routing: Removing rule 1401 from routing policy Mar 24 21:34:19 openvpn-routing: Removing rule 1501 from...

    OpenVPN and DNS-O-Matic

Well, it is finally updating DNSOMATIC now. However it is updating my Router's IP instead of the IP received from my OpenVPN connection. I know this is an impossible ask without perhaps toying with scripting (that is out of my scope). Is there a way to update DNSOMATIC with my OpenVPN Client...

    OpenVPN and DNS-O-Matic

Hi, I am revisiting the old thread again, as I need DNSOMATIC to work and i am still stuck with the "Request Error! Please try again." error. According to your suggestion, I have set the below settings in policy routing, but this is not helping. Any tips on how did you configure DNSOMATIC to...
