The new Netgear FVS336Gv3 (FVS336G-300) - Feedback on this pls

Hi SEM, regarding the fan. These units will run 24x7 and the fan (being a mechanical part) is the weakest link inside the ZyWall 110 or any other firewall/router system. The RV32x/FVS336Gv3/LRT224 are fanless and have lifetime HW warranty but the ZyWall 110 does not have lifetime HW warranty...

RV320 questions, or general home router advice

Personally, if I have time, I'd go for Ubiquiti ERPOE-5, pfSense or similar products like these. But the issue is lack of time (family, work/biz, etc). These equipment require time studying CLI manuals/web posts, research to fill knowledge gap on core networking and lots of...

The new Netgear FVS336Gv3 (FVS336G-300) - Feedback on this pls

Hi Trip, I'm looking for feedback beyond specs such as reliability (no hanging), if feature works as advertised, user experience/satisfaction, bugs or any major security issues. One of the things I didnt like about RV320/RV325 is port 80 is always open when port scanned from WAN side even...

The new Netgear FVS336Gv3 (FVS336G-300) - Feedback on this pls

Netgear recently released the FVS336Gv3 (FVS336G-300) last Oct. It's an update to the FVS336Gv2. I'm soliciting for user experience on this particular unit (the v3 version pls, not v2 or v1) especially when compared to Cisco RV320/RV325.

Buying Advice - Dual WAN Router

I'm in a similar situation. We have the venerable RV042 (v1). It's a great VPN router back then and still works today but Cisco stopped releasing firmware updates awhile back thus I'm looking for a good VPN router replacement. I'm currently evaluating the RV320/RV325. I find certain...

RV320 questions, or general home router advice

I suggest to consider the recently released Netgear Prosafe FVS336Gv3 (FVS336G-300). It's a direct competitor of RV320. I'm currently evaluating the RV325. I wish SmallNetBuilder staff would review the Netgear FVS336Gv3 or update the original review of FVS336Gv1 from 7 years ago.
