Asus GT-AX6000 WOL not working properly over 2.5Gb only

When I connect my PC to the standard 1Gb port then WOL works perfectly, when the PC goes to sleep or when it is shutdown for hours. If I use the 2.5Gb port then WOL only works when the PC is in sleep mode, it does not work at all when the PC is shutdown, even 2 secs after. Does anybody have any...

My OpenVPN server breaks going from v382 to v384

Yes you are missing something. I created the crt, keys and .ovpn years ago when you had to do in manually. I've used the same files for years through different router upgrades (N66U, AC66U, AC68U, AC86U) and different Merlin firmware upgrades. It has all worked perfectly up until the last...

My OpenVPN server breaks going from v382 to v384

The config file isn't the primary issue, the VPN server is not working with the old certs and keys. I have to get the VPN server setup correctly in the first place and then generate new config file.

My OpenVPN server breaks going from v382 to v384

Thanks, this sounds like it is the case as if I use newer v3.07 OpenVPN connect client on my android phone then it fails to connect. I have to use older v3.05 to connect to the OpenVPN server running on the older v382 firmware. I suspect the only way is to create new server and keys using the...

My OpenVPN server breaks going from v382 to v384

I created the keys and opvn file for OpenVPN sometime ago and it has worked fine on Merlin for some years. I hadn't upgrade my firmware for a while and was still using v382. I decide to update to the latest firmware and manage to get everything else like my IPv6 working fine but can not get...

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

Appreciate the input. I've updated it now to the latest L build, had to use the recovery method to flash it. Is it set to more radio power by default or do I need to change that manually?

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

Thanks for that. Yes, I did see the 'older but probably better wifi drivers' mentioned in the first post. It's an A1 with the slower CPU, have you guys overclocked it?

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

I picked up an AC66U for a good friend who was having poor wifi from the cable modem supplied by his provider (Virgin UK). I will put his current modem/router combo SH3, into modem mode only and use the AC66U as the router. The main thing he needs is the best wifi performance. Which firmware is...

Create static arp using services-start to survive reboot?

I get the " PERM on br0" so that has worked like a charm. Much appreciated. That was the final piece in the jigsaw after getting Ipv6 and VPN working after moving from Shibby Tomato where they are much easier to implement but troublesome wifi.

Create static arp using services-start to survive reboot?

What is the syntax for me to create a script? Assume I have no Linux scripting knowledge. Also don't you have to make the script executable?

Create static arp using services-start to survive reboot?

Thanks but yes have seen that but it doesn't give much in the way of examples how to achieve what I'm attempting to do.

Create static arp using services-start to survive reboot?

I'm trying to find out how to add i.e. arp -s 192.168.1.2 AB:CD:EF:1G:2F:3G to the services-start so that it can survive a reboot. At the moment I've just entered the above string via kitty but it is not permanently added. Could somebody who knows about these things more than I point me to how...

Ping (ICMP) not working even though enabled.

Yes you are right, the IP did change but I was pinging the right one as verified with VirginMedia techinal support. I flashed back to Shibby using recovery utility and ping worked perfectly so I flashed the Merlin beta 380.60 and this time cleared NVRAM by way of the WPS button and it works...

Ping (ICMP) not working even though enabled.

As far as I can find out VirginMedia (UK) do not employ CGNAT on their network. I'm not sure how to check if the modem is really bridged, though I did • connect directly via RJ45 from PC to the SuperHub 3 in modem only mode, disable windows firewall and anti virus etc and was still not able...
