    Wtfast?

Are they recommended? Their supported list of games is 2 years old. Anyone have any experience with this? I have the GT-AX6000 but have never used it.

Asus AX6000 no LAN devices through switch after 388.2 Update

Access point Mode. Bridge may have been an old fashioned name, sorry for the confusion.

Asus AX6000 no LAN devices through switch after 388.2 Update

I can definitely try that but wanted to also clarify I installed 388.2 Merlin on Wednesday morning and enabled Cake for Docsis. That Immediately caused the LAN issue the first time. At that time I hadn't narrowed the issue down yet and restarted everything and got it working. Everything...

Asus AX6000 no LAN devices through switch after 388.2 Update

I have an Asus AX6000 that was running factory firmware with an unmanaged switch (Trendnet TEG-S82G) as the only hardwired device into the 2.5 LAN port. I’m not sure it matters but I have an asus AC87R with Wi-Fi off connected to the switch basically functioning as another switch. I will...

Best Layout to Maximize my RT-AC87U & RT-AC68U

Ha well I'd like to buy a newer model but financially it'll be several months before that happens. From your response however it seems I've set it up as good as I can without buying newer or additional hardware. Thanks for replying.

[Preview] 380.57 alpha test builds for all models

This may not help but worth a shot and also this is off the top of my head but I believe under LAN settings there's a setting for aggressive or normal. For my ISP I have to have it on Normal or sometimes especially with an IP change (if internet service goes down for long or if modem is without...

Best Layout to Maximize my RT-AC87U & RT-AC68U

i have a two story house where my internet is ran through the basement (no choice on this). I currently have an RT-AC87U connected to my Modem and until a year ago most of my time was spent downstairs. Things have changed and both floors see heavy internet usage all day so I've ran some Cat 6e...

[Preview] 380.57 alpha test builds for all models

I have an RT-AC87R and the following connected as a wired bridge to that router: RT-N66U & RT-AC68U. I've enabled Multi-User MIMO Beta and DNSSEC support on the AC87R. I have multiple iPhone 6s Plus's, iPad Air 2's, and two 4th Generation Apple TV's (one hard wired the other uses WiFi from the...

Shot in the dark here but did you do a reset when changing firmware's?

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.56 Beta 1 is out

Hope I didn't miss this but does the battery drain affect Apple devices? There's mention this update is better for Apple devices but it also mentions some devices will experience faster battery drain. Just unclear if battery drain also applies to iOS devices and Apple laptops.

    Best layout with AC68 & AC87?

That's funny as my total setup consists of an 87, a 68, and a 66. My 66 is a repeater and 68 is an access point as well. As for best coverage I've read the 87 beats out the 3200 and read somewhere Asus is already working on successors to those that may be out by mid to late summer. As for...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.52 is available

Thanks for the reminder! That's why I was saying sometime this week as I've spent almost all my free time lately troubleshooting and ruling things out. I've gotta re-load their current firmware and double check then I'll submit a report. Thanks Merlin!

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.52 is available

Crap! Was holding out for some hope on this. I'm still leaning toward an issue with code (Maybe something Asus introduced recently) since GUI freezes on any changes (enabling or disabling) on IPv6 page with tunnel 6rd as the method. May reach out to them next week. Thanks for the feedback...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.52 is available

I've not had any issues other than IPv6 with the following using .52: RT-N66U RT-AC68U RT-AC87R Hard reset done on each. Manually reconfigured each, 68 & 66 are my AP's and no issues.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.52 is available

unfortunately Charter's settings page http://www.myaccount.charter.com/customers/Support.aspx?SupportArticleID=2665 states to use the Tunnel 6rd. Their customer service won't even help with IPv6 and yeah that page is at least two years old but using those settings it worked for me under Merlin...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.52 is available

Wow. I'm genuinely perplexed then. I assumed it was something in the firmware since the Router GUI freezes on complete regardless if I enable IPv6rd (Charter's method) or disable it. I then made an assumption that since it froze regardless if enabled or disabled that something wasn't getting...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.52 is available

I've got a little more info about the issue I"m having with my RT-AC87U/R using IPv6 with Charter: Original post #38 When I input the settings and hit apply I noted the router seems to freeze with a spinning circle saying complete. I left it on this screen overnight and today sure enough it was...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.52 is available

Anyone using charter (http://www.myaccount.charter.com/customers/Support.aspx?SupportArticleID=2665) Able to get IPv6 working? When I put in my settings and apply them my RT-AC87 freezes on complete as if the router is rebooting then I completely lose all internet connection. Spent two hours...

    Best layout with AC68 & AC87?

Thanks for the replies and input! Glad to hear QoS and AiProtection work a lot better. Been wanting to try those but didn't want a huge performance hit.

    Best layout with AC68 & AC87?

i have both the AC68U and AC87R and due to the issues with the AC87R and the layout of my house I used the 87R as my router with wireless radios off in my basement where my cable internet is and have a cat 6E cable ran upstairs connecting to my AC68U as my wired Wifi access point. Now that the...
