    First, my setup: A GT-AC5300AC as primary (hence why I'm not on merlin) and an RT-AC5300 as a node over 5ghz wifi. I have a load-balancing setup between two ISPS; one is cable and one is fibre, generally get speeds up to 800 mbps. And I'm using ExpressVPN MediaStreamer DNS plus their VPN...

    In the end I returned the AC88U to Amazon, and since the other two have such ridiculous ranges, my setup works fine with just those two ‍*shrugs*

    Brand new AC88u 2.4Ghz not working

    I am seeing the 2.4 GHz (led off, no broadcast) on an A6. Just noticed last night, current on the way home to run some more tests so I can send the results over to ASUS support.

    No Aimesh icon on Rt-AC3100

    Just weighing in to say I'm noticing the exact same symptoms on my RT-AC88U. No Aimesh in GUI, 2.4GHz LED is off and I can't see the 2.4GHz SSID either.

    No but I was originally attempting to add it first. In fact only after numerous attempts to get it detected did I add the other AC5300. I might end up resorting to this as a stopgap for the ac88u but it'd suck.

    It is and I did. Also tried this. And just to test I also attempted to install a previous build of 384 but still no dice.

    I recently decided to go full-retard and on a recent trip to the US I bought a GT-5300, an RT-5300 and an RT-AC88U. My idea is to set up an AiMesh network with the GT5300 as primary, the RT5300 as a wireless node and the AC88U as a wired node. I didn't have any issue setting up the GT5300...
