    If I do a factory reset in the Asus web interface, isn't that the same as doing a HW reset? For a HW reset, you mean holding down the physical reset button on the router right?

    I'm actually returning a complimentary Asus router that Sprint gave me but this applies to routers being sold to private parties as well. Is a factory reset enough to make sure the new owner isn't able to retrieve my SSID and passwords? Or do I need to a more thorough wipe to be safe? Asking...

    Thanks for the input but I actually ended up grabbing the ASUS from BuyDig for $122. I know it's not the best deal but I couldn't wait since my Belkin took a dump.

    Asus RT-N56U Reviewed

    Looking to buy a new router in the price range of about $120 shipped. Not a power user so I'm not necessarily concerned with all the bells and whistles. I just want something that's really fast, stable and easy to use. On this basis, would you guys recommend this router or would it be overkill?

    Assuming I can get both at similar price points, which one would you guys recommend? Looking for speed and features but stability is absolutely the most important. Or if there are better options for around $120 shipped, please give me your recommendations.
