    Anyone else having Asus DDNS service issues? Router was connecting fine once set up, now I keep getting 'Server Error' on both the router and the asus smartphone app.

    Honestly? All I did was switch to Merlin from the stock firmware, and it has been flawless. I also disabled Wifi 6 on 2.4 as I don't have any Wifi 6 devices and Wifi 6 gives my Recteq grill problems. Edit: I'm at 27.5 hours of uptime on the problematic devices and no issues.

    I'd love to see Merlin migrate to the new firmware platform, but I understand that's a lot of work and leaves a lot of legacy routers behind. It still amazes me that a fairly mature network standard can be this buggy with new models, though. Thanks for the help!

    Just flashed in Merlin, did a hard factory reset and started configuring things in manually. Thermostat is connected without changing any of the 2.4 settings so far, but the real test is to see if it's stable. Stilled miffed about the vlan loss though.

    -No. It's in the same position the previous router was in, that worked perfectly fine except for not having the capacity to accomodate my connection speed. (RT-AX58U) -No, rural home -None of the devices are more than 10-15 feet away from the router.

    Made the change. Still having a hard time getting my thermostat to connect. Really not looking forward to another wipe/reconfig, which seems to fix the issue.

    Thanks, everyone. Tech9 - I was looking into running one of the ad-blocking addon packages, and from the research I did, the 58U doesn't have the processor or memory to do so. Am I making the wrong assumption?

    Just a quick question; what's the latest asus router supported by Asuswrt-Merlin? My current router, an RT-AX58U, is getting a bit old and from what I gather doesn't have the hardware capability of running many of the add-ons available. Thanks for any help.
