What is your view of this performance...

Asus AC56U with Merlin's ".40" stable

5GHz 802.11n connection, 2x2, client is a linux box running Mint 16, 12" away from the router.

Code:
iw wlan1 link
Connected to ac:22:0b:24:cb:c4 (on wlan1)
	SSID: TILLY-5
	freq: 5180
	RX: 3414429 bytes (11293 packets)
	TX: 1029936 bytes (5126 packets)
	signal: -39 dBm
	tx bitrate: 300.0 MBit/s MCS 15 40Mhz short GI

	bss flags:	short-slot-time
	dtim period:	3
	beacon int:	100

Tranferrring 1GB file (ftp) to the shared USB3 WD 500GB connected to the router.

Means out at around 15MBps

Whatever I change in the settings doesnt affect things much.
