I have been using the ASUS RT-AC68R with it's original firmware and zero problems.
The only issue I can't figure out is the wireless log messages that says.

kernel: br0: received packet on eth1 with own address as source address.

They flood the log everyday, finally I thought about the Iphones, disabled their wifi four the past four days and not a single
kernel: br0: received packet on eth1 with own address as source address. message in the log.

Does anyone know what is it with this router and Iphones?

Thanks in advance to anyone who cares to reply.

I don't know the reason but I have the same thing in my log and I did the same thing you did with the same result. Everything has worked great with my router so I tend to just ignore these things ( probably not wise but all works so well I just let it be).
