I have have an annoying problem with ATT Fiber.
About once a week ATT goes down during the night and the only way to get the network back is to reboot the router.

Since it is no possible to put the ATT modem/router in bridge mode I had to set it in DMZ.
I have tried to resolve the problem by reserving the IP address to no avail.
Since the problem always happens at night I have tried to resolve the problem to schedule the router to reboot every day at 6AM but that's not working either. I think that's because the router relies on the internet time...

Anyone has a solved this annoying problem?

Get your ISP to fix their end.

Is the ONT going down as well ? Check the ATT router logs if you have not already.
My ATT fiber does not do this. No evidence of issues in the ATT router logged.

Sounds like ATT is doing maintenance on their side...

Which router, and more importantly which version of SRM?

Thanks for your reply!

Synology RT6600AX
SRM 1.3.1-9346 Update 5

DHCP (until this afternoon I had it on manual)
IP 192.168.1.10
Gateway 192.168.1.254
DNS 1.1.1.1 (I always set DNS myself)

ATT fiber modem / router
WiFi and Firewall disabled

I was able to reconnect the router remotely by changing the settings on the ATT box to
Enable DHCP Server
Selected the Synolgy router as a "server"

DHCPv4 Start Address
192.168.1.10 (allocated to Router)
DHCPv4 End Address
192.168.1.240
