I have an Asus RT-AC87U that I recently acquired. I sold my 68U and only had to pay $10 difference. Anyway, I relocated the router in my office and recently have noticed some issues/interference with my bluetooth keyboard, trackpad and mouse. I have never really had any issues before with my Macbook Pro Retina so I found this to be troubling and interesting at the same time. Looking at the RSSI values when the router is on they are very high 70+ and when the router is off they drop to -58. What MHz rating should I set the 2.4GHz and 5GHz network to that might help with eliminating interference? I found the following so I am unsure if it actually hold true.

Center of frequency / freq-range (MHZ) 802.11 Channel number BT Channel
2412 2402-2422 1 1-20
2417 2407-2427 2 5-25
2422 2412-2432 3 10-30
2427 2417-2437 4 15-35
2432 2422-2442 5 20-40
2437 2427-2447 6 25-45
2442 2432-2452 7 30-50
2447 2437-2457 8 35-55
2452 2442-2462 9 40-60
2457 2447-2467 10 45-65
2462 2452-2472 11 50-70
2467 2457-2477 12 55-75
2472 2462-2482 13 Not used
2484 2474-2492 14 Not used

bluetooth is supposed to be a short ranged wifi that replaces infrared. It shouldnt be using too many channels and shouldnt be causing much interference but make sure that bluetooth is kept away from your router.

If it is legal you can use channel 13. Use a channel with the least interference and traffic.

One thing to check on your router is 40Mz channels on your 2.4GHz side - wide channels can interfere with Bluetooth devices (one of the key reasons why Apple specifically does not allow Wide Channels in the 2.4GHz side btw)...

Also worth trying with "Reducing USB 3.0 interference" enabled..

Changed to Channel 13 and 20Mz. The RSSI values dropped to about 61-64DBM and everything seems much more stable than previously. I will give it a few days and see if everything is working normally.

Also, randomly wondering. Logitech mice that use their own Unifying Receiver. Does anyone know what frequency they use?

Depends on where you live - in many countries, CH13 is not a legal channel, and in the areas where it is - low power, and perhaps low rates...

Here in the US - it's Ch 1-11, and that's it...

2.4 GHz according to the FCC.

By any chance is there a USB 3.0 device attached to the Macbook Pro?

USB 3.0 is known to throw a lot of near-field noise into the 2.4GHz band...
