Dear all,

I've currently got CS407e running with 4 x Seagate 1.5TB ST31500341AS, and the system will freeze eventually, after a few digging, most of the people in the synology forum suggest to avoid the Seagate 1.5TB.

but to fix my problem, I have to select one of the following way:
1. keep my harddisk, upgrade the NAS from cs407e to DS409 (but even Synology have no solid answer the freeze problem will be fixed)
2. keep my cs407e, sell my seagate 1.5TB and buy WD1.5TB hdd.

anybody can help?

the seagate 1.5T is on the support list for Synology DS409, so, it's better to swap the NAS, rather than HDD???

I didn't say that. What you choose to do is up to you. Just use the drives recommended for whatever NAS you have or get.
