I've been holding out for the new wave of MIMO '1000+' adapters for months now,but so far there's still no sign of any products actually being available for sale in the UK.

There were press releases issued by manufacturers such as TrendNET back in January which promised that products would be shipping by now, but so far there's been no sign of UK socket AV2 adapters from any vendor.

I was wondering if anyone here had any info on this? I'm wondering if perhaps there had been issues with conforming to radio interference regulations etc.

EDIT: I found these: http://www.faculty-x.net/1000mbps-AV2-gigabit-homeplug-Tenda-P1000.htm but the images show that the earth pin is plastic, so they must not be using MIMO technology?

Those are probably based on the same chipset as the ZyXel 1000's that are on the market in the U.S. and were recently reviewed by SNB. MIMO was supposed to hit the market in September. Let's hope we see some units in the channel at the end of the month :-(

1000Mbps models are SISO-750 (1.8-86.1)

1200Mbps models are MIMO-1000 (1.8-67.5)

1800Mbps models are MIMO-1500 (1.8-86.1)

So you want to look at 1200Mbps models - TL-PA8010, TPL-420E2K (and 421 for passthrough), Dlan 1200+, PLA5405 (and 5415 for passthrough). I don't see any in stock in the UK but some stores have listings and prices.

This is physical, not electrical problem. Get the connections to where they need to go and you should be set.

The devolo dlan 1200+ are available at overclockers here:http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=NW-020-DV&groupid=46&catid=1604&subcat=2879

I emailed devolo and they confirmed that they use the QCA7500 chip set and are MIMO.

However, devolo have got a dlan 1200+ with ac WiFi in the works:http://www.devolo.com/en/Press/Pres...1200+-WiFi-ac-Gigabit-Powerline-meets-WiFi-ac

So I'd recommend holding off if you want this technology(due in late November according to this site: http://www.broadbandbuyer.co.uk/products/19721-devolo-1200ac/reviews/ ).
