New Around Here
I have TPLink Archer C5 AC router with fast feed, but stuck in N mode since I use Peppermint 7 and tahrPup linux distros.

I have been looking around for weeks to get a dual band AC compatible adapter that work with both linux distros mention.

Would appreciate if anyone know which AC wifi adapter work without having to compile a driver....

thanks in advance.

ASUS AC1200 USB-AC56 ?

The realtek drivers that Asus supplies are old, and limited to the 3.10 kernel and earlier. Kernel folks made some low level changes in the IOCTL's that break that driver in the post 3.10 kernels - there's a couple of Github hacks that get things working again...
