Mediasmart EX490 Question

Just purchased a EX490. I currently have all of my music files (300+ GB) on a HP mediavault(MV5150).

I want to copy all of the files off the mediavault and onto the EX490.

What is the best way to do this?

I started a directory copy from a pc on my network that can see both units but it is painfully slow. Is there a better way?

What kind of transfer speeds are you getting? What is your network like? 100Mbit or 1000Mbit/1Gbit?

It is a 100Mb network and I am seeing ~1MB/s(so ~8Mb/s)
