Hi Everyone,

Currently looking at mounting my NAS shares IF their IP address exists (NAS is turned on).

The NAS auto activates at 18:00 and turns off at 6.30.

So I could get either:

1) cru with simple mount scripts and unmount scripts
2) manually run the script if / when NAS is active at various times
or preferred
3) script checking IP address - if exits mount shared drives and unmount when IP address disconnects.

And how would i incorporate getting the NAS IP address and including it.

NAS is static IP address so maybe simple (1) is better - keeping it idiot proof ? o_O

Thoughts ?

If you're using macOS a free app called ControlPlane can do this for you. If you're using a different OS then I have no idea.
