Hi.

I read several guides how to setup PIA in OpenWrt and everything is fine until I try to install this package:

Thats where I get stuck. I did a vpn* search and luci-app search, openvpn but nothing. Yes, sure I can set it up without a GUI like Luci but for me to keep it simple it has to be through a menu option like services as it should have been if this command worked.

So what to do now? I *really* wanna try OpenWrt because (admit it or not) its the most advanced firmware with no limits.... you can add whatever you want. Sure I got dd-wrt and its working fine... I will also try Tomato and Pia later on.

Help! If I cant get this into Luci (or any gui) I will have to change firmware. The router is by the way a Linksys E4200 v1 running OpenWrt Chaos Calmer 15.05.1 / LuCI 15.05-188-g87e9837. Latest version.

Thanks

Did you do an update on the opkg? Sounds like your local repo is out of date...

Should be

$ opkg update ; opkg install openvpn-openssl luci-app-openvpn

Nope, same error,,, I browsed through the whole package folder and that is not in the folder....

I found this however
https://www.privateinternetaccess.c.../openwrt-with-luci-app-openvpn-and-secure-pia

I have not tried it yet but It looks promising but more typing to do and greater chance of errors... Can someone update on the luci-app-openvpn? I did some googling and found this https://github.com/openwrt/luci/issues/736 if u google it u will find out that its still not fixed?!

by the way this is the guide from my VPN provider:

https://www.ovpn.se/en/guides/openwrt

same error here..... maybe its about time someone fixed this?! i can work my way around ssh etc sure but for example with my asus rt-ac66u running merlin firmware I have actually 5 different vpn clients to connect to and its so supersmooth and works everytime,,, just a click on a button,,, ;) openwrt should work in the same way but expand to 10 client options.... good for testing etc..... can someone look into this? i will look around for a "bug" forum and report this hopefully something will be done for next update

thanks

/smyr
