Decided to break this out, considered putting this over in the Wireless section, but since this is a very focused device...

Hardware:

Fairly similar to the TP-LINK MR2030 with a Alfa USB adapter built-in

SOC - Atheros AR9331 MIPS R24k integrated 802.11n Router/AP/Wifi (B/G/N 1*1:1)
Memory - 16MB Flash, 64MB DDR
CPU is clocked at 400MHz

WiFi:

PHY0 - mapped to AR9331
PHY1 - Realtek RTL8187L (MAC/BB) with RTL8225 B/G RF ASIC

The RTL8187 is a USB2 adapter, attached to the AR9331 via Alcor USB2 Hub chip, with the AR9331 as USB master

Ethernet - provided by AR9331 integrated switch - 10/100 fast ethernet

USB2 External Interface - for mass storage or 3G/4G WAN modem with current SW - conversely, with appropriate driver support, could break out another USB-Ethernet or USB-Wifi for 5GHz support

USB2 also breaks out an SD-Card (just SD-Card, not fully SDIO) for uSD (FAT/ExFAT only, no XHSD, so limited to 32GB or less)

UART/JTAG/I2S breakout via pins, TTL Serial for BusPirate, full JTAG support
