Hi all.
Its been some years since I read and update my home networking devices. Currently have a RT-N66U that has been working great. No issues with it since i got it, but the coverage in my house is too poor.
Setup:
5 wired into the N66U via switches.
4 sonos devices using 2.4 GHz network.
Several phones, laptops, ipads etc using a combination.
AppleTV and Chromecast using 2.4Ghz (poor connection).
R66U customized with vpn, QoS and static ip's. Just the way I like it.
Not AC devices
Problem:
Some devices in my livingroom, Chromecast, AppleTV and Sonos devices have bad network. Dropping streams and sound. Mobile devices works well.
Is AIMesh working good? What is a good starting router for AImesh? That I can continue to expand in the future? Shoul I consider a complete OOTB solution like the Tenda system?
Budget is around 200-300$. I prefer to spend money now, and have a good network for years.
