Hi Guys, I am currently using a ASUS RT-AC66U router with the latest Merlin firmware but am still experiencing a lot of signal issue on the 2.4 and 5GHz frequency. I'm currently staying in a 2 bed/2 bath apartment that is around 1200 SQ FT. My wireless extender, a netgear WN3000RP, is able to cover my entire apartment with a stable connection however, my ASUS RT-AC66U router is not able to and would barely reach my desktop in my room (and when connected will slow down after a few seconds). The wifi extender is able to give stable connection to my balcony but my RT-AC66U is not but oddly enough the asus router is also closer to the balcony. Any ideas? Already factory resetted after firmware upgrade and what not. My wifi adaptor on my PC is a Rosewill N900PCE IEEE 802.11n PCI Express - Wi-Fi Adapter. I also used my laptop (ASUS Q550LF) and my phone (Samsung S4) for testing wifi connectivity.
EDIT: Walls are not that thick. When you knock em, it kinda "echos" if you know what i mean.
EDIT 2: Quick paint drawing of apartment floor plan (not really to scale but you get the idea)
EDIT 3: inSSIDer screenshot. My router is M&M 2.4GHz and M&M 5.0GHz while my extender is Pimp Viagra...named for obvious reasons...extending my wifi signal
