RT-AC66U_B1 znc & ipv6 tunnel

running an RT-AC66U with a hurricane electric 6in4 ipv6 tunnel running merlin's asuswrt 384.6. with the help of this forum i installed znc as an irc bouncer. znc can connect to freenode via ipv4, however it can not connect using ipv6 (irc connection timeout). my irc client can connect to znc via ipv6 just fine. on the router i can successfully ping, and traceroute via ipv6. i have had extensive contact with the znc channel on freenode (i even installed and ran strace on znc) and they say there is nothing wrong with my znc configuration. i have also contacted hurricane electric and the tunnel is set up correctly and is not blocked on irc. so why can not znc connect via ipv6 on the router? thanks for this forum it has been a great help to me.

i figured out the problem with the router! i had to enable repond to icmp echo requests on the *IPV4* firewall. thought i would never figure it out. so i can now connect to freenode via ipv6 with znc from the router.
