I have been trying to open up ports on a Netgear FVS336Gv2 Router for hours for a micros system. I believe I have the settings correct by every time I try to check with a port scanning utility it says they are closed. Is it possible the device I am trying to port forward just does not respond to port scanning? If port forward settings are correct even if there is no device on the ip provided will it still show port is open? Thanks in advance.
