(I acknowledge Merlin doesn't touch the Dual Wan Code, but I would like to ask if someone could assist me with my problem)
I'm facing a situation w/ my brand new TUF-AX5400 w/ Dual Wan setup using the latest firmware.
Background: I have two ISP set in my home, one as primary access and other as fallback. Right now I need to connect to each one ISP Modem WLAN to be able to use it.
One of the reasons I decided to buy a new router is to be able to perform Dual Wan setup, so I don't worry about which connection I'm using for work or play.
What I did:
I followed the instructions to set both WAN types (both Automatic DHCP). But the Ethernet LAN is not able to communicate w/ my ISP modem to retrieve a valid DNS address.
The problem is just w/ the Ethernet LAN. It shows the following message: Your ISP’s DHCP Does Not Function Properly

- Both ends are w/ lights on
- I changed LAN cables
- restarted everything
- tried to use different LAN ports
- power cycling and even factory reset.
- My ISP modem shows there there is connection (led on), but the AX5400 is not able to request DHCP address.
- I switched primary and secondary WAN the one connected in WAN port works as expected.
The problem is just w/ the Ethernet LAN. It shows the following message: Your ISP’s DHCP Does Not Function Properly
