Hi all!
I have a nice problem with Printer sharing from WAN connection.
I connected an HP laserjet printer to my AC68U router and on LAN it works fine. I'm trying to configure my router to allow WAN connection to print.
On LAN I'm using the LPR method so on the remote PC I configured the same way. On the router I added a Port Forwarding on port 515 to 192.168.1.1 (port 515) but doesn’t seem work.
On my remote PC I tried to disable Windows Firewall but doesn’t help.
Can’t understand what is the problem. Maybe the router doesn’t accept WAN connection to print on his USB?
Or could be a port issue?

Thanks for everybody want to help! 
:)

Hi all. I've news about.
Tried with a dlink print server and it works. Just needed to forward 9100/515ports.
So about the Asus printer server feature there's some limitation for outside requests or maybe uses another unknown port...

Port forwards, as the name implies, will forward traffic to a LAN device. It does not open the port for services running directly on the router.
