    It didn't occour to me until today what you meant by this - does it mean the only way to get AiMesh between these two untils would be to revert back to stock or do you mean I'd need to hardwire them to get AiMesh working between them initally? Are Merlin and gntuon not technically compatible...

    However, the Virginmedia business 4G dongle appears to require a PIN which I don't have and by all accounts might only work with inconjuntion with the Virgin Router so could be a fruitless excerise anyway. I will see what they say today.

    I'm about to grab a TUF-AX5400 to replace my RT-AX58U as the primary router and re-use it to create a Mesh for the first time. AX5400 is supported by asuswrt-merlin.ng fork , my AX58U has ASUSWRT-MERLIN running. Q1 - I guess the two are compatible and I can use both merlins to get them...

    Hi folks, a quick update, so the issue has not returned after doing the FW update. I've not done a full reset, rather just the update from FW tab and rebooted. All seems okay for now - thanks all for your help.
