I'm starting to wonder if there's a link between upgrading firmwares and doing a factory reset that may cause reboots. The last time I changed firmware, I reset the settings to factory default and I haven't had any reboots.
Has anyone had any reboots with 40_beta 3? Mine's been up for over 10 days now without a hitch. I've been doing all sorts of crazy stuff with various Wi-Fi devices and I can't make it fail.
For the record, so far I'm having good success with Merlin's latest 374.40_beta3 firmware. No reboots (3 days) and the connection dropout issue I was having with my USB-AC56 adapter has been fixed.
Yeah, but there must be a way to disable the HTML error page from popping up when the router has a problem. We don't live in a perfect world where everything has 100% uptime and like I said, on a HTPC, I don't want a web browser popping up in the middle of a movie just because my ISP had a...
Since I've had my AC68U, I've noticed that whenever there's a connectivity issue, a web browser gets launched on my PCs detailing the problem.
My old router didn't do this and it's extremely annoying on a HTPC when it happens in the middle of a movie etc.
Is there any way to disable...
The USB-AC56 *doesn't* work with AP mode although it seems to be a driver bug. It says that's it's supported but it refuses to accept any passkey. I didn't actually try it without a passkey as that would be pointless. I tried my old Asus USB-N13 and it worked fine.
Hopefully the same bug...
It appears to be some sort of safe mode for USB.
My AC adapter has connection problems on PCs older than 4 years unless I enable SF Mode but then the transfer speeds are worse than Wireless N. :(
I don't think it's just Apple. Similar things happen to me when I connect my Dell Win8.1 tablet via wireless N.
This is baffling. I installed the 40 beta 1 firmware and I had two reboots in the first couple of hours. After that, I now have 3.5 days of uptime and not a single problem. I'm...
I disagree. When the customers sit back and say nothing, companies assume everything is fine (or not a big deal) and don't do jack. It's obvious that Asus ignore their own forum for anyone that's spent any time there. Venting and letting companies know that putting out shonky products is NOT...
Sounds exactly like my experience. Back in the old days, cheap wireless routers used to get really slow after a while and require a reboot. I honestly thought those days were over but apparently not.
I'm giving Asus one more chance but if their next firmware has issues, it's refund time...
