    USB-AC68

If someone is using this adapter (USB-AC68), can you share the flags in wireless log, for 2.4H and 5G? MU beamforming appears always as "No", at my end. While "Yes" would be expected.

    RT-AC86U Beamforming

Packet sniffed beacons say 'not supported" (for both HT and VHT). And there are no NDP announcements flying around as it would be expected. It would be great if some fellow user could cross-check some at his network.

    RT-AC86U Beamforming

Settings are "standard" (i.e. what is usually advised in this site). But MU-MIMO does not seem to work. And I am trying to understand if this is the case with everybody else (in which case something is wrong with the device/firmware), or some settings are wrong at my end.

    Any input on this please?

    RT-AC86U Beamforming

bump... Any idea if beamforming is really working in 86U? Any known "hidden" settings or dependencies?

    RT-AC86U Beamforming

Device is Asus USB-AC68 (with CommView or Wireshark+Tarlogic driver). Just for beacons, this is enough I think https://www.helge-keck.com/

    RT-AC86U Beamforming

When inspecting the beacon frames from RT-AC86U, MU Beamforming is reported as "not supported". Although the relevant settings in web ui are at "enabled". Can anyone crosscheck what is the status with their own 86U? Do I miss some other settings needed?

    RT-AC86U DFS and channel change

Getting back to op issues: seems that for the problem on hand, router firmware is irrelevant; so nothing to do with RT-AC86U. On a different note, RT-AC86U never returns on the original DFS channel, because of the hard-coded logic used. This turns the 5GHz band extremely limited to...

    RT-AC86U DFS and channel change

Absolutely, no pun intended. Just chipping in for completeness.

    RT-AC86U DFS and channel change

Mine is DE version. Since the beginning (all f/w) gives: 52,56,60,64,100,104,108,112,116,132,136,140 Plus the non-DFS: 36,40,44,48

    RT-AC86U DFS and channel change

Tried several things, trying to follow some suggestions above. Reverted to firmware 45717. No change. Rechecked the drivers for AC68, and saw that driver is indeed "new" (date 11/7/2019, v.1030.25); I have just forgotten the update. Disabled AC68, and reverted to the build-in Intel9560. This...

    RT-AC86U DFS and channel change

Drivers installed are old, but also the latest available on Asus site. Can windows update provide something different?

    RT-AC86U DFS and channel change

Oh, you are so biased o_O;):D:D:D Only available alternative is android smartphones, but I cannot really spend my time surfing and what not on a smartphone waiting to see what happens:confused: On a first look, when changing channels on webui, android clients are much faster in seeing the new...

    RT-AC86U DFS and channel change

Change is always to a non-DFS channel (typically 36-40, or 38 when using 40MHz bandwidth). Still the gap is there (1-2 sec). The choice of non-DFS channel was always like this (with all previous firmware version also). But, again, is only now that the gap is obvious.
