RT-AC86U DFS and channel change

Mine is DE version.
Since the beginning (all f/w) gives: 52,56,60,64,100,104,108,112,116,132,136,140
Plus the non-DFS: 36,40,44,48

We are talking about the US region models.

Getting back to op issues:
  1. seems that for the problem on hand, router firmware is irrelevant; so nothing to do with RT-AC86U.
  2. On a different note, RT-AC86U never returns on the original DFS channel, because of the hard-coded logic used. This turns the 5GHz band extremely limited to 36,40,44,48. Far from practical for urban areas with neighbouring airports, overflying aircrafts, nearby shipping etc.
  3. Also RT-AC86U does not log properly DFS events.
  4. Dongle USB-AC68 (and/or latest w10 updates) have some deteriorated performance, while channel switching. Is there any input on best performing driver (out of the various ones lying around) ?
Is there any advice available on (4) and (long standing) (2) above?
