    Asus Auto Update Experiences

Are you saying that 81992 (July 2020) had auto-update enabled but 82072 (August 2020) didn't? From what I remember when I had 81992 back in July it didn't auto update to 82072 and I had to update it manually.

    Asus Auto Update Experiences

I manually rolled back 40451 to 81992 on my AC86U and it auto-updated back to 40451. It's actually the first time I can remember my AC86U ever auto updating. Before installing 40451, I sat on 81992 and 82072 for quite a while without either updating. Something changed recently for me in...

    Release Asus AC86U New Firmware - 3.0.0.4.386_40451-g30f1b6c

How do you hold off? I manually rolled back 40451 to 81992 on my AC86U and it auto-updated back to 40451. It's actually the first time I can remember my AC86U ever auto updating. Before installing 40451, I sat on 81992 and 82072 for quite a while without either updating. Something changed...

    Netgear R7800 Firmware Version 1.0.2.68

As far as the CRC errors copying large files in AP mode referenced in https://community.netgear.com/t5/Nighthawk-WiFi-Routers/Nighthawk-R7800-CRC-Errors-Copying-Large-Files/m-p/1843555#M145722 , do you have any idea what the cause is? I know when this issue has come up in the past you have...

    Netgear R7800 Firmware Version 1.0.2.68

Voxel does that mean you won't integrate the QCA drivers from stock .68 which include support for FCC channels 136, 140, and 144 into your firmware? Are these QCA drivers contributing to/the cause of the large transfer CRC problems in the stock firmware or is it something else? What stock...

    Netgear R7800 Firmware Version 1.0.2.68

How’s this stock version working out for people? I’m still on .63 and in AP mode.

R7800 data corruption when in Accesspoint mode

Maybe I would if I knew what they did, whether there was a downside, whether they were permanent, and if I knew what the defaults were and how to revert to them.

R7800 data corruption when in Accesspoint mode

On my R7800 with the latest beta .63 stock firmware, the transmit errors show up regardless of whether the LAN or WAN port is used in Access Point Mode.

Netgear R7800 Firmware 1.0.2.63 Beta (Hot Fix)

Doesn't he state in https://www.snbforums.com/threads/custom-firmware-build-for-r7800-v-1-0-2-68sf.57646/ that CVE-2019-11479 is fixed in his latest version? Yet above he says "So it means that at least CVE-2019-11479 patch was not used for this version". (latest Netgear beta) Do I have it wrong?

Netgear R7800 Firmware 1.0.2.63 Beta (Hot Fix)

Voxel, if you are using the same base firmware as Netgear, and only adding to it, how are you able to apply CVE's to it?

Back with Netgear R7800 after home burglary and need advice

My understanding is that Voxel uses the same wifi drivers as stock so your range won't change with his firmware. If I needed to cover more space than what the R7800 can do, I would be looking at a true Mesh system like Eero. Although I know it's costly.

    Custom firmware build for R7800 v. 1.0.2.63SF

What exactly does this mean? Broken files? I've only used stock Netgear firmware up until now and have always used the WAN port in AP mode. Is there a known security or other issue doing this?

    Custom firmware build for R7800 v. 1.0.2.63SF

The DNS issue (pointing DNS to an internal IP address) with stock .62 is described here: https://community.netgear.com/t5/Nighthawk-WiFi-Routers/R7800-Latest-Firmware-Issue-DO-NOT-UPDATE-TO-V1-0-2-62/td-p/1693518 and here...
