Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.6 is now available

Thought I'd offer a quick update: In case anyone tries to recreate, thus far narrowed it down to creating and enabling a Guest Network Pro (Guest Network) profile. Once created, 2.4 and 5 Ghz 0r 2.4, 5 and 6GHz, WPA2 or WPA2/WPA3, VLAN 66, 225.225.225.240, DHCP Sever enabled, 192.168.66.1...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.6 is now available

Now I'm totally confused. The device connected to the MLO SSID  and is on it solid on 2.4Ghz radio even with the other two enabled for that SSID. This wasn't working at all before 🤦‍♂️ So on the weekend back to 3006.102.6 I go and we'll see if it stays on, now that everything is working...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.6 is now available

UPDATE: It does work both Merlin and stock, for a time it connected in both circumstances, and its connnected now. But why? The only thing that comes to mind, as I've been changing things. Is that I had one of the other SSIDs (Guest) with 6Ghz enabled at one point, and I just removed it and...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.6 is now available

Appreciate that, but the client in question was always on the 2.4Ghz band as the SSID it was using was only enabled for the 2.4Ghz band and it roamed to the router which is nearest to it. The loog shows it connecting, and DHCP offering an IP but that's where it end. I even assigned a fixed IP...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.6 is now available

Well it's fixed and broken. I had to disable both MLO and WiFi 7 on the main SSID for it to connect on the custom 2.4Ghz SSID (that never had WiFi7 or MLO). Disabling 6Ghz in the main SSID had no effect Limiting the 2.4Ghz SSID to one node running ASUS FW and off the router had no effect The...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.6 is now available

One, one device only @jksmurf and it never fully connects, will review carefully as a quick read covered most of the easy /obvious stuff I did. Sent you a DM, will try a couple of ther things tomorrow and update...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.6 is now available

Well the Water Heater does connect, gets and IP via DHCP, and then drops and the dreaded WLC_SCB_DEAUTHENTICATE_FOR_REASON err -30 Filtered Syslog (on device MAC) on 3006.102.4 and 102.6 the same attached, any hints welcomed, in case I forgot to try something...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.6 is now available

Been a few days now and what a difference coming from 3004 (AX88u, 2xAX86u). But have had some minor annoyances that I have yet to conquer. AX mode on 2.4 Ghz, had in 3004 but don't see my devices connecting with it, or the router displaying it, sure its a niche. The Android tablets I got...

Wifi 7 MLO seems buggy on BE96U

Not exactly, an MLO based SSID, and a separate SSID using the Customized Network profile, and try with 1, 2, 3, bands see see what works in your case. You can do per-band if you like, whatever works for you. Point is again, you got options. I did per band for 2.4 and 5Ghz because (separate from...

Wifi 7 MLO seems buggy on BE96U

I built a new network, using this profile With a separate (not the same name Bakla_Mlo, maybe call it Bakla, your choice) SSID, with 2.4 Ghz and 5 GHz, and chose for it to used the same subnet, but that's me and my needs, yours may be diferent as this is NOT a one size fits all capability. Or...

Wifi 7 MLO seems buggy on BE96U

Having just put mine together, in general some of my older devices have trouble with it, consequently, some of those same devices had issues with Smartnet on my AX router/nodes when I had them set for both the 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz. So what I have done, and for me it's working well, so far, is create...

    RT-BE96U AFC?

You might want to read this FAQ first; [Wireless Router] What is AFC? How to enable AFC? - (United States Only) Then down to "Why AFC is not functioning properly?" for more detail, and the one below that "Why can't my device connect to the AFC router?" It's not quite the panacea, yet !?! Read...

    RT-BE96u and older firmware downgrade

I just did this, and surprised I didn't need to set modify NVRAM maybe a fluke maybe not. Got the latest ASUS RT-BE96U Firmware version 3.0.0.6.102_39112 for the router, applied it. After it came back up. Applied Merin 3006.102.6 over it, and after it rebooted and it succeeded. Working fine...
