    No different router to test. First time using Fire tablets. AC56U Router. Merlin firmware 384.6 More than 15 character passcode.

    Connected the Android phone. Hue. Harmony remote to wireless. Both Amazon tablets an old 3rd gen and current 7th gen Fire say authentication error. Typing in correctly. I am a network newbie and thought it could be a different security for wpa2.

    The wpa2 security for both Amazon devices of mine is psk. In the router configuration only aes may be selected. Did I skip over a basic step in the router options? AC56U. Thanks.

    Thanks. I changed the channel for the wireless and figured out how to reboot the thermostat and it is connecting again. Maybe a hardare problem with the thermostat not the wireless network.

    ac56u- No wireless clients connected except one to a guest 2.4ghz network. It is a smart thermostat and was connected fine for weeks and today said Network Error. Restarted router through gui and thermostat has connected itself, again. Could be one time I will see if that happens once more...

    Dirty flash upgraded AC56U from beta release thank you. DHCP client names and icons saving they did not in the beta.

    Can I enable only the guest wireless network? Not enable the regular wireless on the same radio. Can I do that thank you. -Alex

    DHCP server changing device names and icons for computers given static ips no settings are saving after applying they default back to "New device"

    The reset to default put that enabled and I did not change. It did yesterday too but I do not understand it is fine today.

    I said I am not that dumb, that is an insult to me and my lack of network knowledge, not an insult to everybody here helping me. I started over reset to defaults and then flashing the beta release on the sticky and unlike yesterday today it works. Thanks everyone for trying to help.
