Using the Print Server with a Dymo Labelwriter 450

Works for me but I'm running asusmerlin on an ax88u. Don't know if that makes a difference but it's weird if your router isn't even recognized after you reboot. That would suggest to me its not supported on the merlin firmware of your model.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.2 is now available

Thanks. My issue was because I'd stupidly tried to load the firmware for the wrong model. d0h! I'm really glad losing DDNS was the worst of what resulted. After downloading and upgrading to aX88u instead of aC88u everything worked quite perfectly. My problem was that it's impossible to...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.2 is now available

This is true for me as well. The difference is that it didn't actually upgrade my firmware. It threw me back on 386.1-2 with broken DDNS. I tried to upgrade again and while loading it said firmware was corrupted. Edit: DDNS has gone back to functioning on my old firmware. I think I will stay...

Solved AX88U and VYPRVPN Merlin 386.1.2

Curious what made you decide on VyprVPN?

RT-AX86U - Seagate 5TB USB disk not recognised

Got it. Thank you for clarifying.

RT-AX86U - Seagate 5TB USB disk not recognised

Sorry I wasn't trying to insult your intelligence but my speculation was that a drive that was still using MBR and improperly formatted with one giant 5 TB NTFS partition would not be recognized by the router because of the 2 TiB limitations of MBR. I can't tell if you're agreeing or disagreeing.

RT-AX86U - Seagate 5TB USB disk not recognised

Oh you didn't know? MBR partition limitation is 2.2 TiB. But you can create additional extended partitions with logical partitions in them. Regardless I have come across the larger than 2.2 TiB limitation before as well. The limit comes from MBR having a 32 bits wide field for a partition's...

RT-AX86U - Seagate 5TB USB disk not recognised

You mean primary partition sizes up to 2TB? Yeah I just wasn't sure the layout of drive. MBR could have primary partition of 2TB and extended partition with the rest. I always seem to get these weird 3 partition layouts on those preformatted drives with fat32 on them.

RT-AX86U - Seagate 5TB USB disk not recognised

Ah. Sorry I missed that. But are you using GPT? I ask because you said you've got an old 512MB drive working. That appears to indicate its using the old antiquated mbr instead of gpt. I'd use gdisk and convert to UEFI/GPT with bios boot partition. That way router will for sure see it.

RT-AX88U Wan to Lan Throughput Issue

    Awesome, thanks for the tip!

RT-AX86U - Seagate 5TB USB disk not recognised

That's because that Seagate is formatted in fat32 isn't it? That's the stock filesystem on those drives so I'm assuming yes. That means the router isn't going to recognize anything higher than 2TB for that fat32 formatted drive. I'd rec reformatting in ext4.

AX88U - LAN DNS or WAN DNS?

Did you ever get this resolved. I was curious about the multiple entries the gui config as well. My instinct would be that since you're running your pi for recursive DNS caching inside your LAN then you'd want to use the LAN entries for your DNS. The WAN entries would be for specifying offsite...

RT-AX88U Wan to Lan Throughput Issue

386.1_beta3 I read about the WAN thoroughput drop with beta4 and up so decided to stay with beta3.

RT-AX88U Wan to Lan Throughput Issue

Thanks. I've gotten the high ttl down quite a bit already. It's not yet ideal like plugging straight into the wall but I'm getting there. :) Meanwhile I chose asus-merlin because it appeared to have the most potential and the ax88u for the wifi6. I wasn't about to give up on it yet.

RT-AX88U Wan to Lan Throughput Issue

I just installed and this was the first thing I noticed. This is my first asus router but for $350 I really didn't expect such an obscene latency tax prepackaged out of the box.
