I have changed the integration to https://asusrouter.vaskivskyi.com/, default settings. With the router on HTTPS I’m now able to use HA and login the router at the same time. Also the app worked again.

Updated my AX86U, no issues in the system log.

These are errors caused by Smart Connect. Just turn it off as it does not bring much value. I believe this was discussed before if you need more details.

I own a Asus RT-AX86S as node, it is doing exactly what it needs to do (100/100 connection). It is supported by Merlin BTW, the same firmware as the AX86U

I have almost the same setup, only a Ax86s as node. In my experience running the latest Merlin beta on the router and latest stock on the node (both 388) gives the best stability. You can give it a try if you want.

I like having my WiFi configuration on 1 page as with SmartConnect... why do you believe it is more trouble than it's worth?
