    I have changed the integration to https://asusrouter.vaskivskyi.com/, default settings. With the router on HTTPS I’m now able to use HA and login the router at the same time. Also the app worked again.

    Changed the integration to https://asusrouter.vaskivskyi.com/, same result. I'm now using HTTP for Home Assistent to be able to connect via HTTPS to the GUI. Somehow I can't use Home Assistant integration over HTTPS and login via HTTPS at the same time. Connecting to the GUI through HTTP...

    These are errors caused by Smart Connect. Just turn it off as it does not bring much value. I believe this was discussed before if you need more details.

    I own a Asus RT-AX86S as node, it is doing exactly what it needs to do (100/100 connection). It is supported by Merlin BTW, the same firmware as the AX86U

    I have almost the same setup, only a Ax86s as node. In my experience running the latest Merlin beta on the router and latest stock on the node (both 388) gives the best stability. You can give it a try if you want.

    Optimizing wifi

    Which region are you located? I'm in the Netherlands and many devices don't like the higher 5ghz channel, you could give channel 32 a shot which works best for me.

    What's the best way to force all traffic through the pihole for any devices that may have hardcoded DNS on an ASUS router (rt-ax86u) with Merlin?

    Just to be sure, the Gateway address (192.168.2.1) is the IP address of your router right? Somehow the DNSfilter works on the DNS server of my ISP (T-Mobile Netherlands), but not on the Google DNS server. Anyone experienced something like this? I don't understand why this is happening.
